If you have experienced a severe reaction towards bee sting, you must have been very aware of how dangerous this situation is. Applying calamine lotion also a good help for the itch as menthol content will help to soothe your bee sting reaction. READ ALSO How to treat cat bites and scratches on humans? To cure a moderate bee sting reaction, you can also practice the steps mentioned on the mild reaction treatments, such as removing the stinger, cleansing your skin area where the bee sting and also applying cold compress to reduce swelling and pain. At this stage, fever might not arise if it is not because your bee sting wound is infected as explained above. The pain that you might be feeling will be slightly the same with if you are having a mild reaction only the period will be a bit longer. Moderate reaction can develop an extreme redness on the skin setting where the bee sting and also swelling skin that gets bigger on the next two days after the bee sting. However, if you were stung by a bee before and you were experiencing a moderate reaction, it does not mean that you will always the same reaction if you are stung again in the future. Moderate reaction after a bee sting can cause a slightly worse effect than the mild reaction. The first aid for a mild bee sting reaction will include removing the stinger from your skin, washing the area clean to avoid any further infection as well as applying cold compress that can help reducing the pain and the swelling skin. Bear in mind if you do not have any allergic reaction to a bee sting, then this is not your body’s reaction to the bee sting, fever is your body reaction toward the infection from the germ and bad bacteria that lives in the sting setting and being in contact with punctured skin. However, depending on your situation, if infection occurs, fever might also occur. A A mild reaction that a bee sting causes mostly will not include fever.

There are some people that have to have an itinerary for their trip, but because we are a relaxed-kind of vacationers, we have a more flexible schedule. We all know that Walt Disney World annual pass practically calls us back to Disney World every time we turn around. All of the sit-down meals I have eaten have been fabulous in Epcot. On our most recent trip, we got reservations at all of our top restaurants including Akershus Princess Dining and the Morrocan restaurant. We see what is available and have learned to adapt our eating habits based on the reservation times. From there, you can schedule all of your dining reservations for the week. Then, once we get to Disney, we go to guest services at any one of the parks. So if we were eating 6 dinners, we would choose 8 restaurants. (because all of the kids are older and like to try new foods, we usually go to Epcot for dinner) Based on the number of dinners we would be eating, we pick two additional restaurants that we would like to visit. What we do is before the trip, the family looks at all of the restaurants. You aren’t going to be able to go to every restaurant you want. The most important thing to know about Disney dining is to be flexible. So my family has gone to Disney close to 20 times now, so I’ve learned a thing or two about Disney dining. Thanks again and I hope this helps others, as well!! Also, to answer a question I saw above… Yes, they do still accept the Disney Dining Plan, and no, it does not matter if you book through Disney or not, you can still use it. Since we are planning to explore DTD anyway, this will work out perfect for us. The sweet girl told me that the average wait for walk in is 30-90 minutes, BUT that you are given a card with a time to return so that you can go walk around Downtown Disney during your “wait”, you don’t have to sit there on a bench twiddling your thumbs. There were several options, but none that I particularly wanted. THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH for this tip!!! Even two years after your original post, the tip worked great!! For starters, let me just say that the Disney dining website showed NO reservations for my party of 5 for lunch or dinner for the entire week we’ll be visiting!!! So, when I called TRex directy, I asked them about a reservation and they told me what they had to offer for the day I wanted. Learn more about Walt Disney World Dining and get suggestions for where to eat, how to use the Disney Dining Plan and more. You can easily Google the restaurant’s name and pull up their address and phone number.ĭo you have any tips on securing a Disney dining reservation? I’m not sure if the trick would work with Disney owned restaurants, but it couldn’t hurt to try contacting the restaurant directly if you’re really wanting to eat there on a specific date or time. Much to my surprise, not only did they have a spot for us, but they had availability every 15 minutes of every day I was looking at wanting to eat there! There were PLENTY of reservation spots available…just not through Disney Dining. So I decided to call the restaurant direction at 1-40. “They’re new but they can’t be THAT packed, could they? Especially since a friend of mine just ate there this week with no problems getting a table.” I searched and searched Disney’s reservation system and there were no available spots for the entire week we’d be at Disney World! Not for breakfast, lunch, snack, or dinner. I ran across this issue when trying to get a reservation for T-Rex Cafe at Disney Springs . However, they’re not always the best option because restaurants apparently only releases a certain amount of reservations to Disney Dining Reservations and when those fill up, you’re out of luck. Of course, you can even use them online, and they make it so easy. It’s pretty common and widely known to use Disney’s Dining Reservations line to make reservations. Patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) rarely get a good night’s sleep because their narrow airways easily get obstructed at night, completely stopping their breathing. There isn’t much difference in the amount of REM sleep each of them received, but there is a big difference in how much deep, restorative sleep each of them had.ĭeep sleep is ‘sensitive’ and any disorder which causes frequent awakenings also ruins the healthy sleep architecture, allowing more time for light sleep and not enough for deep sleep. In Figure 2, the first hypnogram was obtained from a person who reported no frequent wakings, whereas the second one was obtained from a person who complained about sleep fragmentation. This is what the typical sleep of a relatively young, healthy adult looks like. Light sleep precedes and follows both deep and REM sleep. There are only a couple of awakenings, and they occur after REM sleep. In the first half of the night, there is plenty of deep sleep, whereas, in the second half, there’s more REM sleep and significantly less deep sleep. In Figure 1, we can see a series of normal sleep cycles. What do hypnograms look like? Normal vs disrupted sleep While one or more of these recordings are being made, a computer also takes information every 30 seconds to make a hypnogram. All of the three are electrical signals obtained by electrodes placed on the skin. How is a hypnogram obtained?Ī hypnogram is usually made at the same time as other recordings, like an electroencephalogram (EEGs – they are recordings of brain-wave activity), electrooculography (EOGs – they show eye-muscle movement) and electromyography (EMGs – they show the activity of skeletal muscles). Also, many people experience really short awakenings from REM sleep – some scientists even theorize that the purpose of REM sleep is to prepare the body for waking up. What used to be called Non-REM 3 and Non-REM 4 is today combined in Non-REM 3 ( deep sleep, or slow-wave sleep).Įven though REM (rapid eye movement) usually comes after sleep stage 2, it is placed higher on the graph because the brain activity is similar to that of wakefulness. Non-REM 1 is the lightest stage of sleep, Non-REM 2 is a deeper stage of light sleep, while, as the value goes down in the graph, it represents deeper sleep stages. In Figure 1, we can see the sleep stages during eight hours of sleep (the horizontal axis shows time and vertical sleep stages). Therefore, we see the macrostructure of our sleep, whereas the microstructure can be seen on other types of recordings, for example, on EEG (electroencephalogram), which clearly shows even the quickest brain waves. The reason behind it is that a hypnogram records activity every 30 seconds. When you look at a hypnogram, you’ll see a not too detailed sleep presentation. It’s used both, for research and for diagnostics in medicine. What is a hypnogram and how does it work? ExplainedĪ hypnogram is one of the ways in which sleep is recorded in the study of sleep (polysomnography). Hypnograms can show all sleep stages with waking periods, and we can draw some conclusions about sleep quality, as well as monitor sleep onset and total sleep time. Hypnograms can be used in sleep research as well as in sleep medicine, for patients who may have a sleep disorder. It is useful when a rough image is needed so that researchers can easily visualize what someone’s sleep looks like and compare it to that of other people.
